I'm Mario. I'm part of the graduating class of 2016! I was born in Porterville and raised in Lindsay. I started my early years of school at Jefferson Elementary. I had a lot of experiences that helped me learn and grow as a person. My elementary years were pretty good I had a lot of friends I was learning for the most part just had a few set backs which include me having real bad eye sight and having a learning disability. It was a struggle for me in these early years I was still trying to get the concept of everything that was going on around me. When I got into Garvey Middle School that's when everything that was going on slowly started to hit me. The summer of my 8th grade year before my Freshmen year at Lindsay High School when it hit me even harder, with the help of my mother, sister and brother they helped me realize a lot more stuff that I'm doing good but if I don't pick it up I probably won't graduate. My high school years were great and really fun, my senior year was the most fun because I got involved a lot more than past years, I helped out with anything I can and I started to plan what I'm going to do after graduation. Some of my plans after high school is to attend COS or PC and get my EMT and firefighter certificate. After receiving my firefighter certificate I will become a Forest Fire Hotshot for either the state or the Federal Government I'm leaning more towards the state which is Cal Fire. After about a few years of doing the hotshots I will go into the military either the Navy, Air Force or the Army I would love to do some special forces, but the only thing holding me back is my eyesight. If I'm not able to go into any special forces or any military forces I will continue with school and major in music. I will become a composer/ performer and create my own music on the piano. I will love to come back and live in Lindsay and help Lindsay High School with sports and donate money. |
